Scott Ringlein

Scott Ringlein is the founding partner of The Energy Alliance Group of North America. After a 22-year career in the Auto Industry, the market crash forced him to take a quick left into the land of entrepreneurialism and startups. Through Scott’s first venture, On Point Business Planning Solutions, a business planning and advisory firm, the US Department of Energy selected Scott as a Technical Advisor for the Obama Administration’s American Recovery Act, Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit program. This program offered a look into the future of US manufacturing for a variety of industries including transportation and energy. It was soon after Scott completed this assignment that that he took his extensive business development and project management experience and started The Energy Alliance Group of North America.

With a focus on industrial and commercial energy efficiency and cost recovery projects, The Energy Alliance Group (EAG) is one of the “up and coming” PACE Project Developers in the Midwest region. With locations in Michigan, Ohio, and South Dakota, EAG manages PACE projects throughout the US, and is a leading authority on the administration of the program to obtain PACE funding for energy efficiency improvement and renewable energy projects. A recent EAG energy efficiency project reduced a business’s energy use by 44% and achieved a 19% ROI in year one, on an investment of $500,000 into energy efficiency technologies.

Both Scott and his company were born and raised in Michigan. He has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering, and has a real passion for “Doing Good While Doing Well”. Knowledge he gained early on from one of his mentors Cesar Nerys. In 2016, Scott created the solar programs Kilowatts for a Cure™ and Kilowatts for a Cause™ to raise money for charities, scholarships, or just giving back to the community.
